RIP Pinetop

It is with great sadness that we learned today of the death of Pinetop Perkins. He was chosen for the cover of the book because he so perfectly captured the spirit of the entire project… “The blues makes me feel pretty good. It always keeps two dollars in my hand. I praise to the Lord all the time, ‘please forgive me for it,’ cause I know nothing else to do.”
